Deception comes in different forms. Some forms are easily identifiable while others are ambiguous and usually hard to spot. Fortunately for us, Republican deception is clear to see and easy to detect if you know what to look for…

Infrastructure Spending – In 2011, President Obama introduced a $60 Billion infrastructure bill to which Republicans replied, “hell no”. The bill would have supported American jobs and repaired bridges and roads. Fast forward to 2017 and NOW Republicans are lining up in preparation to pass Donald Trump’s $1 Trillion infrastructure bill (which I’m sure will be used to first pave the roads around his hotels). Is a trick or scheme used to get what you want, like the deception you used to get your sister to agree to do all your chores for a month. Deception occurs when you deceive, a word that comes from the Latin de- meaning “from” and capere, meaning “to take.”

We hear about people being deceived and lied to all the time, however, for some reason we always think it couldn’t happen to us. One of the hardest things to do in life is admit when you’ve been played for a fool, when you’ve been lied to, or when you’ve been deceived. The noblest thing to do in life, however, is admit when you were wrong!
