We are currently living in a state of emergency in this country and the culprit may not necessarily be who or what you think! For decades now, public schools throughout the U.S. have been cutting or completely gutting civics education in favor of subjects which align more with the trendy STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) evolution.
Conversely, popular entertainment and culture has permeated all facets of American life to the point of pacifying citizens and replacing the search for enlightenment, which once was pervasive in the country, with a citizenry more equipped to quote reality show catch phrases then to quote the Constitution or rules which govern them.
This deterioration of knowledge and wisdom has led our country astray and produced an era of American ignorance not seen since the turn of the century. In order to reclaim wisdom and resort our country to greatness, we must all do our part to assist in promoting knowledge, facts and information.
“If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything”
– A quote popularized by Irene Dunne
